Design a T-Shirt Competition
***We have now started uploading your designs to an online gallery. Click here to view the entries so far!***
As part of the Dangerous Ground Campaign students are invited to design a t-shirt to help raise awareness of the devastation caused by landmines and other unexploded weapons. The winner may have their t-shirt design professionally printed!
The theme is: The Ground is a Dangerous Place to be. There is plenty of inspiration to be found on the Dangerous Ground website www.dangerousground.org and in the Teachers' Resource Pack.
Students can interpret the theme any way they want. They can design the front of the t-shirt, the back, or both. However the design cannot wrap around the sides or the sleeves. Designs can be completed using whatever materials you prefer, but should be no bigger than 21cm square, or a piece of A4 paper. Entries must be recieved by 31st December 2008.
There is more information in the Teachers' CD about the Dangerous Ground project, a Dangerous Ground lesson plan, and short films that have been part of the campaign.
Included in the pack are terms and conditions of entry.
If you need any help or advice, or to request a 2008 Teacher Resource Pack, please don't hesitate to contact us on info@landmines.org.uk or call the office on 020 7471 5580.
