London to Windsor Bike Ride
Enjoy a summer’s day out cycling from London to Windsor and help save lives!
No More Landmines and Bike Events are running a cycle ride of 37 miles on country roads from Richmond Green to Alexandra Gardens in Windsor on 31st August 2008. There is also a shorter 29-mile ride, ideal for families. Both routes follow the river, winding along leafy lanes and through the pretty villages of the Thames Valley. At the Finish, there’ll be entertainment, food stalls, a beer tent, music and massage. Head for the circus Big Top!
For millions of people the ground is a dangerous place to be. By successfully completing the London to Windsor bike ride and raising funds for No More Landmines you will be freeing communities from the threat of unexploded weapons of war.

Why Fundraise?
This is a sponsored charity ride and your entry fee only covers the cost of running the ride safely. No More Landmines raises money to help the millions of people around the world whose lives are affected by landmines and other unexploded weapons. Landmines remain in the ground long after wars are over and cannot tell the difference between a soldier and a farmer. Every 30 minutes of every day someone is killed or injured.
Over 90% of the injuries and deaths caused by landmines happen to innocent civilians and one third of those injured or killed are children.
