No More Landmines
Freeing communities from the legacy of war

No More Landmines helps and empowers communities around the world by removing the threat of landmines and
unexploded weapons. We also provide support for survivors of landmine accidents to enable them to lead fulfilling lives.

One Step Beyond

One Step Beyond

Earlier this month, OneStepBeyond auctioned off 19 pairs of celebrity shoes on e-bay, on behalf of No More Landmines and 3 other nominated charities.

The Campaign has already brought in thousands of pounds for No More Landmines and three other charities by creating the world’s longest line of shoes in June 2007. Countless numbers of you helped….donating over 20,000 pairs of shoes which were then distributed to charities in Asia and Africa.

This year's shoes included:

·          Elton John’s stage shoes
·          Andy Murray’s trainers
·          Ewan McGregor’s trainers
·           Daniel Radcliffe/Harry Potter’s school shoes
·          Jo Brand’s deck shoes
·          Emma Thompson’s Jimmy Choos
·          Christian Dailly’s football boots
·           Steven Pressley’s football boots
·           Barry Ferguson’s football boots
·          Robin William’s trainers
·          Tamzin Outhwaite’s black strappy sandals
·          Graham Norton’s Versace shoes
·          Lorraine Kelly’s tartan courts
·          Kirsty Wark’s boots
·          Zoe Wanamaker’s boots
·           Phil Cunningham’s trainers
·           Carol Smillie’s Kurt Geiger mules
·          Stephen Fry’s monster slippers
·          Kaye Adam’s shoes

The big sellers of the event were Graham Norton's designer shoes, fetching £230, Harry Potter and Daniel Radcliffe school shoes which raised £410, and of course, Elton John's platforms, which brought in a whopping £1021!!

No More Landmines would like to thank all at One Step Beyond, and everyone who took part in the bidding. We look forward to putting the proceeds to good use.

All of the funds raised are to be split equally between four different charities: Cancer Research, Cash for Kids, No More Landmines and Angus College Charitable Trust.
